About Us
The Breaking Language Barriers Network (BLBN) is a non-profit organization that provides free online English classes on a weekly basis to new immigrants in Canada and those who are motivated to improve their English speaking skills. Our primary objective is to support immigrants in their adaptation to Canadian society by equipping them with the necessary language skills to interact with their new community. We strongly believe that language is an essential part of a culture, and it plays a crucial role in fostering relationship-building.
Our Vision & Mission & Objectives
Our goal is to help new immigrants and newcomers in Canada with their English-speaking skills, enabling them to adapt to the environment. Our online English classes aim to achieve the following objectives:
- Help our members improve and build confidence in their conversational English;
- Foster a community where members can make friends and socialize;
- Educate members about Canadian culture;
- Provide a secure environment for members to share their culture and experiences.
Why We Created BLBN
As fellow Canadian immigrants, we understand the challenges that newcomers face when it comes to language and cultural barriers. Having experienced these difficulties firsthand, we aim to support those who struggle with English communication by offering a safe environment for them to learn and practice conversational English to navigate their new community.
